We
spent the first weekend in December in Utah. Justin's family had their
Christmas party and it was fun. We stayed the night at Michelle's. In
the morning we went to church with Jinni's family. I thought it was
quite hilarious that the men were playing in the "baby-pen" and there
were no babies with them!
Sunday night we went to temple square to see the lights.
Did you notice Ivie's new glasses?
Monday we took several tours on Temple square. Ivie loved the roof of the conference center and the Beehive house, but her favorite was the top of the church office building. Funny thing was it had nothing to do with view! We ran into her 1st grade teach (Mrs. Merchant), her 3rd grage teacher (Mrs. Zundel) and an old neighbor from Tall Ave (Nancy Madsen). At times like this our th planet of 9 billion people feels like such a small place!
After eating lunch at the Lion House we went to the Children's Discovery Museum and the kids had a blast!
Back in September we has some recessed lighting and a fanlight installed.
Morgan has been fascinated by all the lights and glitter during this time of year. It has directed my thinking to our Savior and the light he brought into the world at his birth and the light and hope he gives us for the eternities.
Morgan has discovered the "JOY" of chocolate through our advent calendar! We use to take turns on who got the chocolate, but Morgan puts up such a fuss when he sees the calendar. Now the person who gets the chocolate must share with the chocolate monster or allow him to spoil their delight as they try to savor the small piece of chocolate!
Chocolate Monster
Not a happy camper!
Morgan loved the bell he got from Santa
Ivie attends a jump rope clinic on Monday nights with her friend. She has learned lots of way cool tricks!
