Craters of the Moon

During the fall break we took a one day trip to Craters of the Moon. Ivie was sworn in as a junior ranger after completing the requirements. They let her choose between an astronaut helmet or a ranger hat for her picture. As you can see she chose the space helmet. After I returned from space camp our family watched a documentary on NASA and the space program. We learned that the first astronauts trained and to geology lessons at Craters of the Moon before they took flight into space. A good portion of the junior ranger program focused on space.
